This device combines a powerful sine wave inverter, state-of-the-art battery charger using VICTRON's 4-stage adaptive charging technology and a high-speed AC source transfer switch in a compact housing. The unit is further characterised by its proven reliability, is short-circuit-proof and protects against overheating.
Fully automatic and high load capacities
If the shore power or on-board generator is interrupted, the MultiPlus inverter then automatically takes over the supply of connected consumers in less than 20 milliseconds.
Peak power is often required for a limited period only. In such cases, the MultiPlus automatically compensates for insufficient shore power or generator output with energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e.. when consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.
Thanks to the high short-term load capacity, consumers with high inrush currents, such as LED lights, halogen bulbs or power tools, can also be operated.
Optimal charging of starter and consumer batteries
The MulitPlus has two DC outputs for charging starter and consumer batteries. The 4-stage charging characteristic always ensures optimum charging and can be adjusted to different battery types by means of DIP switches.
Intelligent search mode
When search mode is activated, power consumption of the inverter is reduced by about 70% at no load operation. In this mode, the inverter shuts down at low load and turns on again every two seconds for a short period. If the output current of a set limit is exceeded, the inverter immediately switches on again. If this is not the case, the inverter switches itself off again.
Integrated multifunction relay
The MultiPlus also has a programmable multi-function relay, which works as an alarm relay in the default setting. This relay can also be reprogrammed for other functions, e.g. as a start relay for a generator.
